USB 6501 under Windows 98

I know the USB 6501 24 bit IO board is only officially supported under Windows XP and 2000. But ... I have an old application program running in a DOS window under Windows 98, and before I do a total rewrite I wanted to ask if there happened to be some work-around to communicate with the 6501 in that environment? Wrapper for the Legacy drivers?

Unfortunately, there is no supported way to use the USB-6501 under Windows 98.  The USB-6501 can use either the NI-DAQmx Base driver or NI-DAQmx 7.4 or later.  The NI-DAQmx Base driver only works on Windows 2000 and XP.  Because support for Windows 98 and ME were dropped from the NI-DAQmx driver after version 7.1.  The only solution for this is to upgrade your operating system.
