SPI Digital Waveform Reference Library for LV 7.1

Hi,

I'm using LabVIEW 7.1. I wish to implement SPI communications on an NI HSDIO device (PCI 6541).
Is the SPI Digital Waveform Reference Library (http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/6163) available for LabVIEW 7.1? Has anyone sucessfully converted it from 8.2 to 7.1?
Likewise are the VIs available under the Serial Protocol Communication Reference Application for Digital Waveform Devices page (http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/6200) avaliable for LabVIEW 7.1?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no simple way to convert the libraries backwards for 7.1.

My suggestion would be to download an evaluation copy of LabVIEW 8.6.

You could use the trial period to open the libraries, and use those as a reference to recreate what you need in 7.1.

Thanks for replying. Luckily I was able to find a PC at work with LV 8.5 and 8.0 installed. I was able to convert to 7.1 that way.

I wasn't aware there was a trial of LabVIEW 8.6.

Hi. I'm working with NI6229 card on LV7.1 and have the same problem to convert the files from LV 8.x. Can you attach the converted SPI for LV7.1 library?
