SCB-68, SHC68-C68-RDIO2, and a panel-mounted connector?

Solved!
Go to solution

I am using a PXI chassis, a SCB-68 HSDIO terminal block, and a SHC68-C68-RDIO2  between them.

There is a piece of sheet metal between the chassis and the terminal block.

I'd like to find a panel-mounted connector that mates to the SHC68-C68-RDIO2, so I can then run an internal cable to the SCB-68.

I haven't had any luck finding one from a vendor that's able to pass muster with my large Aero/Defense employer's purchasing rules. Any suggestions?

Hi Brian,

Do you have any specific requirements for this panels or could you share with me some of the options you considered on the past?

I can't discuss in detail, but it's a test stand built into a 19" rack. The terminal blocks will be inside a drawer, and the PXIe chassis will be elsewhere in the rack. So, I need to get the cable from outside the drawer to inside the drawer.

Production policies make it very hard for me to get approval to just punch a hole in the drawer and route the cable through, so I need a panel-mounted connector.

I did some research for recommendations for panel mount connectors on our documents, but I couldn't find something related directly to it.  However, I found some documents from us with recommendations of the connectors and the manufacturers list so you could see on their pages something that could help. Other option is to acquire only the connectors and use them to create your own mounting panel but I will use this only as last resource.

Thanks. We'll take the Molex connector and build a custom solution.
