Problem with Pattern Generation output using a DAQCARD 6533, NI-DAQ and Visual C++

I am trying to generate an output pattern using a DAQCARD 6533, NI-DAQ and Visual C++. THe PCMCIA card is installed in my desktop through a PCMCIA/PCI adaptor slot. When I run my program I get the error message '-10462 Specified resource has not been reserved.' What does this mean and how do I overcome it?

What operating system are you using? I'm assuming for some reason the DAQCard 6533 does not have an IRQ assigned to it. Go into Windows' Control Panel and then to Device Manager to see if you can assign it an IRQ address that is not being used by anything else.

I thought this might be the problem. My desktop PC is rather full with devices and the DAQCard didn't have an IRQ assigned to it. It worked, luckily, when another device failed to load. I removed a card which allowed the DAQCard access to an IRQ, and now that the card has as IRQ assigned both my software and LabView seem to work. Thanks for your help.
