Hi,
Is it possible to access the NI 6501 from a simple custom C#/.Net application without having to install the whole NI-DAQmx binaries ?

Is there any particular reason that you don't want to install NI-DAQmx?
You can use VISA calls, but NI-DAQmx generally does make things a lot easier.
