How to generate digital pattern using PCI-6254 (M-Series)?

I'm using PCI-6254 (M-Series) and since it supports only DAQmx drivers,
i'm looking to generate a digital pattern using DAQmx at a specific
data rate, let's say, 40 kps?

can anyone help me with this?

i think i'm having problems using DAQmx Timing (Sample Clock).vi to set the
clock source and clock rate? i was hoping to use the internal clocking mode.

thanks.

Hello Rkpat,

The digital generation on the M series that you have does not have its own clock engine. If you desire to generate a pattern at a specific rate and you have no external clock to provide, you can either corelate the DO/SampleClock with an analog sample clock or you can use a counter to generate the required sample clock.
I have attached below a screen shot of the M Series Help that deals with digital generation update clock.

Hi Serges,
Thanks for your reply. I tried using counter to generate the clock and using it to do my
pattern generation.

Thanks agian for very timely reply.
happy holidays.
