Thanks for contacting National Instruments support. The readme for DAQmx Base 2.1 for Linux does not include the PCI 6509 as a supported device. This you may already know, hence the question. But it is true that the 6509 is not supported under Linux with DAQmx Base version 2.1. However, DAQmx 8.0 for Linux does support the PCI 6509 according to its readme.
There is a past
discussion forum that talks about this, and includes a link to the register level programming guide. This should help you in the event you wish to create your own driver. Let me if you have any further questions.
