I have a DIO-32HS digital aquisition card which I wish to use to read 12V CMOS signals. In the specifications part of the manual under Digital I/O Compatibility the compatibility is listed as TTL/CMOS (standard or open collector). However, directly below this the maximum input high voltage is given as 5V (i.e. TTL). What's going on here? Is it OK to put a 12V CMOS signal directly into the board?
Your card can only take o to 5v signals. 0 to o.8 is low and anything between 2.4 and 5 is high. However if you have to use the 12v signal you could manipulate your signal to meet these specs before they enter the card.
If you still have problems with this, please reply back.
