Connect all grounds together internally NI 6555

Hi everyone,

I am currently using the NI 6555 and since I need to use 20 pins it makes a lot of connections and it is a big mess.

I saw this post

https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z000000PADQSA4

but I am wondering if it is necessary or just a protection from crosstalks and other parasitics.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I took a look at the datasheet and it seems all grounds are connected since there is not mentioned that a particular channel corresponds to a specific ground pin. But the best method to check that would be to generate two different signals in separated channels, share the ground, and check if the signal looks as expected.
