6229 port0 split as 16 DI and 16 DO

I'd like to configure the port 0 (32 bits) of the PCI 6229 as the following: 0..15 as input, 16..31 as output.
This using DAQmx base (C or LabVIEW), is it possible ? how ?
I always end up with errors when I try to read or write to port0, configuration is "ok" att least it does not return any error. (Dev2/port0/line0:15,Dev2/port0/line16:31)
