Hello,
Is there a way in TestStand to react to broadcast events of the DQMH or must always be used the type "Request and Wait for Reply" in order to get, for example, results from measurements? In the Thermal Chamber example, the latter is used.
Best regards
Nils

Hi Nils,
You can only use the request and wait for reply. If you want to use your DQMH API Tester as a sniffer, you can create a step that calls both the broadcast and the "request and wait for reply".

Hi Fab,
Thank you for your reply. I have experimented with "Obtain Broadcast Events for Registration.vi". Thus, at least it's possible to react to error messages in a parallel thread.

Interesting.
Please share your experiments when you get a chance.
In version 3.0 of DQMH, we added the error as part of the Reply in a "Request and Wait for Reply" event to ensure error broadcast was not needed in these situations. We would like to see how you handle errors on a parallel thread in TestStand.
Thanks,
Fab

Hi Fab,
if I have a viable and generic solution, I will share it here. However, it will take some time before other functional aspects have priority.
Best regards
