Add Delacor toolbar to make create new module/event a 1 click action

Status: Declined

This will need too much work to implement. We prefer focusing effort on the scripting tools.

Please create an additional toolbar named "Delacor" that has at least 2 buttons: one to create a new module, one to create a new event.

It's too tedious to go everytime via menu Tools, Delacor, DQMH, bla bla

In this picture you can see on the right the JKI tester toolbar, and also the NI Unit Test Framework toolbar.

thanks

Why not use my Project explorer extension? This extension is much more comfortable. 👍

Too much work a toolbar with 3 buttons.... 😆😆

Plastic demonstration about how old is LabVIEW GUI IDE.

You can add buttons to the toolbar even in Office 2003, like the technology is 20 years old.... but hey.....too much work....

You made my day

If we can help you smile 😋

Kidding apart, adding these buttons in the UI relies on Project Provider framework. This framework is not supported by NI --> https://forums.ni.com/t5/Developer-Center-Resources/Customize-the-LabVIEW-Project-Explorer-Using-the...

Today, we think this feature is not a priority compared to the benefice/effort-risk balance. It could change in the future if NI improve the LabVIEW IDE.

It still possible to add this feature via a third party project like @Cloedu72 's project offers with contextual menus --> https://www.vipm.io/package/zuehlke_engineering_dqmh_provider_for_the_project_explorer/
