When I try to add or remove a search area, either through the GUI or a VBS Script I recieve the following message.
Server Error: Updating the DataFinder configuration exceeded its maximum allotted time.
I have tried reseting my computer (Running windows 10 pro 64 bit) and multiple re-installs of diadem. I have also tried restarting the NI PSP service locator. Any ideas?

Hi,
This is a problem which occurs if the update of Windows 10 is installed. A few day ago we could repair the issue and create an update for MyDataFinder. The installers can be found here:

I am having the exact same problem. I have tried everything from unistalling and reinstalling DIAdem several (5) times to opening and closing the data finder, but eventually the datafinder just errors out and won't open at all. I've used the forms about updating the data finder for windows 10, but can't find the download within the link. However, I am already using DIAdem 2015 sp2 which lists windows 10 as one of the operating systems.

Hello jss10,
There was a Windows 10 update that breaks something in the DataFinder Desktop Edition, and an update for the DataFinder Desktop Edition for Windows 10 can be found here (I apologize for the strange formatting of the description below):

Update of NI DataFinder Desktop Edition 2015 (MyDataFinder) for Windows 10
After a Windows 10 update to Version 1607, MyDataFinder cannot be configured anymore. Executing the attached installer, solves this problem and can be used for all versions of DataFinder Desktop Edition 2015 (with and without Service Pack). This update also solves the same problem for LabVIEW DataFinder Toolkit.

Hi Alex_adem,
does this error occur with DIAdem or DataFinder Server Edition?
For DataFinder Server Edition 2015 use the following Service Pack Update:
English: http://www.ni.com/download/ni-datafinder-server-edition-2015/6049/en/
German: http://www.ni.com/download/ni-datafinder-server-edition-2015/6050/en/

Hi Alex,
Please describe the problem that is occurring on your computer. Usually when the DataFinder configuration dialog times out there is actually no problem at all. What subsequent issue do you see?

Had the same problem. Installing the "Update of DataFinder Desktop Edition 2015 for Windows 10 - English" (http://www.ni.com/download/diadem-development-system-2015-sp2/6402/en) solved it.
Thanks for the link.
