Hello,
To design a data management system for automatic test system under Labwindows/cvi, i have choose TDMS file as data storage approach instead of database using SQL tool kit.
My question is : how can i prove that TDMS file is good choice to store the data more efficiently than the database ?

Native DAQmx tdms logging vi stores files with reduced size, also in tdms you would have more organized measurement data as there are channel groups, channels, etc..

Hi moana94,
If you do store your data as TDMS files, then by using the My DataFinder that you get "free" with each copy of NI's DIAdem software, or by using the SystemLink TDM DataFinder, you will automatically get a data management layer that you can browse with and query against. The raw data continues to be stored in the TDMS files, but all the properties in those TDMS files become queryable once the files are automatically indexed by a DataFinder. There are built in DataFinder clients and APIs available to use/customize as you see fit.
Just an idea,
