Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

Can somebody tell me or show me how the binary file structure of ATFX external file looks like. Is it as MDF file or same? I need to know it for my Project.

Are there maybe some  tools to look at physical storage? Thanks!

The binary file of ATFX has no stand alone structure.

The XML header describes the binary content.

e.g. 9830 Float64 values starting at byteoffset of 80.

It is capable of describing most of the normal measuring data created by the hardware itself.

Thats the same mechanism used by National Instruments TDM format.

In ATFX there are two description blocks:

  • Component (described in the XML file)
  • External components (described by ODS Instance data)

This means ATFX headers can be used to make existsing binary files accessible.
