Shock Response Spectrum (SRS)

Please clarify meaning the Shock Response Spectrum (SRS) calculation options of 'Pulse Duration' (SRSPulseDuration) and 'Time Domain' (SRSRangeType).  My best understanding from DIAdem help is that the pulse duration specifies the duration of the input signal from t = 0 sec to the pulse duration value that is included in the calculated shock response.  The pulse duration also specifies the (time) range of the input signal used for the stimulation.

The 'Time Domain' (SRSRangeType input to ChnShockResponseSpectrum() argument ) specifies the range of the input signal used for the stimulation, in terms of the options of 'All' / "Complete Range", "Primary", and "Residual".  The 'All' / "Complete Range" clearly means the entire range of the input signal from 0 to the pulse duration is used for the stimulation.  But what do the "Primary" and "Residual" options mean?
