Programmatically hide the display of local file system

How can I in a script disable the display of the local file system in the Navigator Browser window?  This can be done through the user interface as shown in the attached image, but I cannot find an equivalent script command.

Hi All,

R&D is collecting use cases for this request.  If anyone else is interesting in performing this display switch programmatically, please post here.

Better yet, Mark would you create a DIAdemIdeas profile and link its URL here, then folks can just <like> the feature request there.  That also guarantees R&D won't forget about this request.
