Possible to generate from a Touchtone s2p file a Smith Chart Diagram in Diadem 17 ?

Hi Community,

we have here the Diadem 17 Evaluation Software in our Company.

We are thinking to use Diadem 17 for our lab documentation from our RF work in the future.

Are anybody using Diadem for RF datas too ?

For the ampifiers we get example ASCII s2p file (Touchtone), is this possible to Generate Smith Charts out of the data ?

I use the Touchtone Plug In filters from the NI page.

But I find no way to display the S11 or S22 data of the S2p file (with Log and Phase information) in the Smith chart form, is this possible to do this ?

Hi Michael,

DIAdem uses DataPlugins to import different file types into the Data Portal. A DataPlugin for Touchstone S2P files exists, so you can import the data:

This said, DIAdem 2017 does not natively support Smith Charts. Adding new report options, including charts, had some priority over the last releases. Still, Smith Charts stay under evaluation and we cannot promise if or when they will be released.

But the Smith Chart / Plot is already developed for LabVIEW.

If you already use LabVIEW, you can easily call LabVIEW Code from DIAdem.
