How to include pictures in xtable?

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello,

There is a nice example for use of an xtable provided with Diadem: "User Dialog Box with Extended Table" which includes icons and text in some of the cells.

Can someone please explain how adding the images was accomplished?  I reviewed the code and even looked in the directories for the corresponding images but couldn't find them.

thanks,

Jim

Hi Jim,

I haven't actually done that in an XTable, but I have added a picture to a button control, and you can set up a column of XTable cells to be buttons, so that should work.

Thanks for that option Brad.

I dug a little deeper and see that the pictures are embedded as a single image in the Cell type, Picture property of the column in the xtable.  There are corresponding PictureAlign and PictureWidth properties.  PictureWidth specifies 16 pixels in this case and the portion of the image shown corresponds to the value of the combobox.   Here there are 7 images concatenated into weather.gif.
