Did ATFX file save all the data?

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello everyone.

When I tried saving my data into .ATFX, a messagebox appeared saying 'You are saving data with the "ATFX" method and some data may be lost. To avoid data loss, save your data also in TDM format (*.TDM)'. Is there a way to compare my original file and the new one in the .ATFX format and find out whether all the data was saved? From the Data portal I can see that all the channel groups are there but what about all the nested channels and properties?

Any help will be welcome.

Thank you

Hi keram,

That is a generic message whenever you save to a file format other than TDM or TDMS.  You're quite safe with the ATFX file format.  There are some differences in the ATFX file format, but you should have all your channels and all their channel values, along with virtually all the properties.
