ChnNICBdryCalc()

Concerns: Diadem8.1+ Crash Analysis Toolkit

My question is, how works the DIAdem-Command ChnNICBdryCalc() with the NIC Force Type "shear sorce" excactly. Consider it the only the positive X-Forces and also the negative (inverts also the negative to positve)?

For the NIC Force Type "tensile force" its clear for me to split the Z-Force before in positive and negative channels.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

The positive and negative parts of your values are calculated separately (without ABS - inverting negative to positive).

positive = (value>=0)* value
negative = (value <0)* value

Theoretical in the signal should be no negative value but from a view of the praxis there is sometimes one. So we use for our calculation the praxis oriented way like the customers wished.

I hope this will help you.

Greetings

Walter Rick
