Channel property "NoValues"

Hi, 

i got a channel and the property NoValues is set to "No"

But in help, its written that the values are integer numbers but in data portal i have string. 

But when i manually add NOVALUE to numeric channel, after i logfilewrite the value and it returns me value "-1".

look at this, it returns me value which should not exist according to your help.

yes show up as text but it is numeric if you logfile it.

Also, looks like we have different help files... I'm on DIAdem 2019 64 bit service pack 1

i got 2017 version still.

i got problem with this function cause it returned me different state that it was in reality. but the problem i found was that the channel was not refreshed after some edits my script made.

I solved it by "refreshing the channel values" by calling this function, after the results matches the data values
