Thank you for your information. You are right in DIAdem we have several commands to import different file formats like DAT, Excel, Ascii, etc.. The reason for this is historical that means to be compatible with older versions, to be open for custom developments, to have restrictions of the existing data-management, to have an easy and flexible command interface.

One of our goals for DIAdem 9 was to have a unified data access. Therefore we developed a complete new data-management. And in the future we will have one command for importing values: DATAFILEIMPORT. And that?s the command which is recorded if you activate the script learning mode.

We think that this is a big advantage for the future.
