SP7 - Develoepr Licence Activation

Dear all,

a customer of mine has purchased a developer licence for SP7. He has received the S/N: M80X*****, directly from us (NI).

The problem is that during activation process there are two more fields required but he has not the information required:

- Licence ID

- Password

How can we proceed?

Thank you for your support

Hello rivand,

to activate SP7 (Developer) you need the License ID and Password which should be sent to your customer from NI via Email. So the act of sending these information is responsible by NI.

Hey Andrea,

this happens all the time. Often times, NI has the email address of the purchasing department instead of the end customer. They should check of the person who purchased the tool received the activation email:

The email title should be:

"Activation Information for your ni.com purchase: SP7 DEVELOPER LICENSE - DATA AHEAD GMBH (CODE: DATAAHEADPURCHASESP7DEV)"

with the body:

Hello #Customer,

Thank you for purchasing from ni.com.  This email contains the purchase,

activation, and support information for your LabVIEW Tools Network product.

Please find your purchase and product activation information below.

Product Name:

Hello Mr. rivand,

just for your information:

To remove any doubts we extended the quick reference guide with the chapter "Difference between developer and runtime license" as well with the chapter "Activate SP7".

The Problem with the misleading mail information still exists.

Greetings,

Hajo
