manual data entry into DasyLab

Hello all,

Is there a way to manually enter a number into DasyLab while it is running ?

For example,  is there a way to have some kind of a window open as part of DASYLAB or connected to DASYLab where I can type a number which will be used in DASYLab for its calculations ? Again, this manual number input should be possible while DASYLAB is running (not stopped).

You can use Global Variables. 

Go to the Options menu, Global Variables and Strings, Define Global Variables. 

Enable the "Enter value in startup box" to configure an initial dialog box. 

Any module that can use variables will allow you to select one when you right-click in the parameter field - Global Variable will be listed if supported.

While running, you can use the Action module to prompt for a Global Variable or String. 

If you do not have the action module, look at the Layout Table object as a way to enter variables while the measurement is running.
