Can I warranty claim this? NI 9361

Urgent

I purchased three NI 9361 cards last year.

For one of the cards. I have everything unwired except a ground wired to COM to ground.

I have set all 8 channels to single ended with 5V pullup.

Here is what I get when I probe.

DI5+ / pin 14: Nothing

DI5- / pin 32: + 5V

DI4+ / pin 16: +5V

DI- / pin 35: Nothing

How am I getting this inconsistency? Could it be the Dsub or the NI Card? all measurements where with the oscilloscope referenced to the COM ground. Am I missing something in the documentation?

Let me know if you want any screenshots or documentation. Happy to provide anything.

Please share a wiring diagram of the connection. In addition, I recommend using a DMM to measure the voltages.

For SE mode, you should not care about the signal on DI- and must leave it not connected.

That's exactly the problem, I am not seeing 5V on one of the DI+ channels, and yet 5V on the DI-. Everything is unwired, just probing in directly.

See attached photos for wiring.

Update santo_13. Luckily, because I have 3 NI-9361. I powered off the cabinet and swapped them out. using a digital multi meter to probe each + and - DI on the positive side of my multi meter, with the negative side of my multimeter probed to pin 36 (COM). Here are the results. I then power it off again and swapped the cards again, and got the same differing results on card 1. No change to the FPGA or any of the programming. All wired as singled ended with 5V pullup.

Based on your observation, I do think there is something wrong. Please raise a technical support request for NI to look into the issue.
