Hello folks,

I'm Chris Roebuck

I've been using LabVIEW for donkeys years (put it this way, I remember when there wasn't a floating tools palette)

I'm a CLA and LabVIEW Champion but also make trips to the darkside and do quite a bit of TestStand.

I specialise in RF test & measurement solutions but will turn my hand to anthing. For my sins I also like doing a bit of SQL (I'm a Microsoft certfied DBA)

I currently work at Hampshire based Alliance Partner; SSBV having previously worked at EADS, Filtronic, Celestica.

When I'm not writing LabVIEW I like to..........actually maybe I do need a sef help group.

Chris

Don't forget to give Kudo's for a good answer !

Hi all,

I'm Jon Bowers.

I'm a bit late to the user group party, but have been  using LabVIEW for all my professional life. I previously worked at National Instruments as an Applications Engineer and then joined the alliance channel with Simplicity AI where I have been developing data acquisition, control and test applications since 2008.

I am a CLA, CTA and CPI (I draw the line at CVI though) and specialise in LabVIEW OO and FPGA.

Looking forward to my first LabVIEW user group.

Jon

Evenin' All,

I'm Steve Rendall, Automated Test Developer at Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd and have been orbiting LabVIEW for about twelve years now, making serious use of it for the last four.

Experience has primarily been on automating RF measurements for design verification, rather than production and have previously worked for Roke Manor Research, then seven years as a contractor before taking the King's shilling and going permie at SSTL.

Main use of LabVIEW has been instrument and UUT control and all of the pre and post processing that goes along with them.

Sat my CLD in October; that was a humbling experience, I can tell you . . .

Anyway, probably won't be able to make December's meeting, but home to show my face in February.

Regarding the meetings, are they always noon to 2pm, or do the times shift?  Where are the meetings held, is it at NI's HQ in Newbury?  And, finally, does notice of attendance need to be given or can one just rock-up on the day?

Thanks all, hope to meet you all in the New Year.

Cheers,

Steve

Hi Steve,

Generally the meetings are 12:00 until past 14:00 (we do special events at different times every now and again). It's generally inertia that stops us moving times around, so if you have any strong opinions speak up. Meetings are in Newbury NI HQ, notice of attendance helps with catering, but we've never turned anyone away. Even on the day you can email NI in the morning.

Look forward to seeing you, the more Steves the merrier

Steve

Hi all,

I am Sabbir. I have graduated in Summer 2014 with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Following that I had joined Edwards Vacuum as a graduate engineer under their Global Graduate Program. Since joining I have been using Labview for almost all the projects I have been part of either primarily for testing new products. I am looking to meet experienced labview User to improve my understanding in particular from the applications prospective.

Hi Sabbir,

Welcome and hope you find it useful.

If there are any topics you would like covered just ask, we have a lot of experience in the group so can cover most problem areas

Hi All,

Richard Thomas, Thoric on the forums, CLA, CLED, CTD and LabVIEW Champion. I worked at PTP in Cambridge, now for Draeger in Northumberland and run my own company Thoric Solutions on the side.

I ran CLUG, the Cambridge LabVIEW User Group whilst at PTP, which won the European User Group award in 2013. Happy to present, happy to attend, permission from the purse-holder notwithstanding of course (it's a long way from Northumberland!)

I've always enjoyed user groups, and I'm looking forward to my first CSLUG!

Thoric (CLA, CLED, CTD and LabVIEW Champion)

Hi Everyone.

My names Richard, some of you will have met me at the past few CLD Summit days.

I've been using LabVIEW for about 6 years now. Currently working mainly on PXI software for data acquisition and motion control.

Hoping to start coming to the user groups on a regular basis.
