Here's how I am dealing with flow diagrams in LabVIEW.
I draw them in ASCIIFlow.com and then export to a comment on the VI.
This can then be pasted back in to ASCIIFlow and edited later.
There's a couple of quirks you have to live with, like putting a lowercase v next to a hyphen!
