How about a new topic limit related to time registered, time of last new topic? Two or three new topics per day?
Or just for topic creation over the limit of maybe 2? Captcha, most bots hate those.
Luckely he isn't spamming the original topics that are created.
Hope this won't change in the future though....
Well, 'unlimited' replys only to own topics .. that would also stop newcommers to digg up 20 old threads with ' have that same problem ..' all regulated by number of posts, so a mod can easely have a look on previous post to bann slowly upcomming spammers.

Why don't we just flag this as a problem with the Actor Framework? That would get someone's attention.
Bad idea, Paul: Someone might also include a spammer

Oh I meant existing.
So the bots aren't spamming existing topics like this.
That would be annoying as hell.

BTW: Applying a Match Pattern on the subject of a post would also help identifying current spam. Has this already been suggested?

Great! They are spamming the Labview forum and Breakpoint forum at the same time...

This spam thing is really annoying.
Honestly, I feel really unmotivated about openning this forum to look for new stuff that I can learn.
Please NI, do something.

I must admit to feeling somewhat the same. You could imagine a first time visitor being a little disheartened and confused at seeing the most popular board like this.
The day they cotton on to the idea of putting popular search tags on their posts is the day it really gets in the way.

It looks bad. Plain and simple. NI should be bigger and better than this.

Maybe we should all PM this SOB with random macros

Is it NI's fault that the forum is being targeted by spammers? I see it as a complement that whoever it is fells that there is money to be made by spamming our user forum.
