Well if you see a pile of mud and sticks suddenly rising, beware, it may be those pesky beaver. Although I'm pretty sure they are rare in either of your parts of the world!!! But you never know, the highway department found a dead African leopard "like cat" near here last week!

tst,
Is atmospheric pressure higher for you?
And does it affect how you bake pasteries, such as cake & bread (rising)?

No effect on matzo

So when "for(imstuck)" is driving to work past the Memoryland Cemetary, near Greenville, we can wish him a Happy Birthday!!!!

Someone should install a banner near the cemetary with the following wording:
"Happy Birthday For Im Stuck"

I no longer work there, as I got a job with an alliance member. However, now all I see on the way to work is traffic. Not so entertaining.

Probably, but I expect it's negligible.

I don't know. I never baked anywhere else.
Actually, I don't bake much, but following the recipes seems to work, so I guess the answer is no (although you could probably just bake stuff by leaving it on a sidewalk on a hot summer's day 😉 ).

A few hundred feed makes virtually no difference.
Look at the boiling temperature of water, the difference between 0 and 300 meters is 1 degC. (2F).
Once you go to very high altitude you run into trouble, e.g. cooking pasta at 75 degC (8000m) is a probably a bit of a challenge and it won't be the same 😄
(You can't just lengthen the time to adjust, else you could "cook" your spaghetti at room temperature by soaking it for a few days. :o))
