My $0.02: Yes, talk to your doctor about your work environment and headaches. Ear plugs + ear muffs will knock the sound down substantially. I was in the Air Force and the jet engine mechanics were required to wear both. Then they would come back to the baracks after their shift and we would all listen to Led Zeppelin or Journey at volume levels that would make our ears bleed.

Would it be possibe to remote into the computer from another PC outside the noisy environ?

Tinnitus (not the forum user) and hearing loss are a bummer.
