LabVIEW climbs to 26th on TIOBE!

On the TIOBE Index for July 2026, LabVIEW is in 26th place,

and I guess this is the highest position I’ve seen so far — now slightly above Julia and Kotlin.

Month ago it was place 32 with 0,53%.

Keep going, let’s get into the top 20!

Good to see some real data supporting the increased efforts in LabVIEW development!

Many years ago Chris Anderson actually gave a NI Week keynote about the long tail, and we are still in it. 😄 Nothing wrong with that.

Time to pass SAS. 😄

Funny thing is that I extensively used SAS for nonlinear fitting and graphic output on a pen plotter on our VAX 11/780 in the late eighties. I still kept the SAS/Statistics manual which is actually a good programming language agnostic reference book.

Sad to see FORTRAN dropping steeply. Even Matlab seems to be losing ground.
