Incongruous sightings of LabVIEW/NI

Sorry to add to the pedantry, but tst said "vertically centered". It takes some creativity to get a numeric indicator vertically centered on a much taller background. It could be done with the transparent indicator on top of a decoration.

Non-appoligetically adding to the pedantary

Easier to just show a rectangular LED indicator or, colorbox and justify the Caption vertically and horizontally centered.  Still, that is some work.  And a bit of creativity.   So, likely something else was used.  (Although,  I have used it!)

From some random Facebook video about wind-tunnel testing:

I am always surprised when professional (?) production software still shows the icon and toolbar. 😄

That even has an Abort Button!

Worse, I think I see that the run arrow looks funky and the Run Continuous glyph looks bold

The CATRA Automatic Edge Tester uses a LabVIEW application to control the motors and drives as well as do the data acquisition and processing to evaluate the sharpness and durability of knife edges:

I ran across this because I worked for several years on a fully automated robotic knife sharpening system, which uses a LabVIEW front-end (but it's very tastefully done, you can't tell at a glance it's built in LabVIEW) and multiple cRIOs to accomplish real-time control over the robots to enable them to do force-feedback guided grinding and sharpening of the knives.

Here another appearance. Seifert DP602 fully automated x-ray testing machine in action starting from 3:08 (LabVIEW starring at 3:55):

It is LabVIEW 7.1 + VDM. Something from 2005.

And sorry, I didn't change standard default icon. 😉

And one more here:

You can easily recognize the "standard" LabVIEW indicators at 1:25:

It is LabVIEW 2010 (I guess). And yes, the standard LabVIEW icon was changed this time 😉

I am not surprised at all!  There is a LabVIEW Champion writing code for Phoenix.
