It was on January 25, 2001 where I (and many others that transitioned from the old forum) were registered here.

How time files!!! It is amazing how the community has grown. Keep posting the good stuff!

I missed the very first weeks of the trip, but I’ve been on board since then and I usually start my workday with a quick review of the forum.

Although I generally lack the time to answer questions, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the main contributors for their often inspiring responses.

I am sure we joined in the same millisecond, but you were already past midnight.... 😄

Does anyone remember the timeline and more details?

• info-labview was a mailing list independent from NI. (website looks so "last century", last update by Scott in 2012, and parts not even in https)
• NI had it's own proprietary format similar to a "forum". (and maybe you joined there earlier, explaining the ID difference)
• I think in 2001 they switched to two different outside providers, one for the forum (?) and one for the community (Lithium?).
• much later, they combined the two branches under the community provider (Lithium?), which later turned into Khoros.

I really don't remember more than that and I might even be wrong. 😄

For a some (short?) time the forum (or info-LabVIEW??)  was mirrowed with a NNTP newsgroup 

comp.lang.labview ?  or so ....

on info-LabVIEW I found posts while I was working on my master thesis... now my daughter is woking on her master thesis (mechanical eng)   🙂

Yes, Info-LabVIEW still exists, but activity has almost completely disappeared, and the emails—once sent daily—have now become rare.

I was amused to realize that my very first post on this group goes back to September 1996, with LabVIEW 4.0.1 and Windows 95.

If I look at the last page of the "latest posts" in my profile, I get a post dated from 2006, so this list if still incomplete*. I do have posts going back to the last century. Makes me wonder if my post count is really correct. 😄

*It has improved, because in 2022 the list only went back to 2012. (see here)

(I also have an old account here with only 7 posts and 1 kudos, that one goes back to August 1999.)
