Not a ‘RIP’ [Rest In Peace] homage to mark the passing of Neil Peart but rather an ‘EIW’ [Explore In Wonder].
I am just one of many he left his mark upon, and am sure there will be many more in the future to come. I do not idolize Neil- but rather respect his skills, determination mindset, knowledge of a broad range of topics, and beliefs. Always keep learning and improving yourself, the ones around you, and the spaces around you.
He never Rested- but always Explored new avenues in drumming, but more importantly- his lyrics.
And never at Peace- but always Wondered as to how attain the level of perfection he knew he was capable of.
Neil- may the Rocinante serve you well on your journey. Farewell, the ‘Analog Kid’ to ‘Digital Man’.
