Coding because you are lazy

I mean, it's been 22 years since its introduction and it's second most traded currency in the world, you'd think there'd be a shortcut on the keyboard of nation with most traded currency.

It's probably out of spite.

Its interesting that practically every other symbol in the world comes before €. Are the other ones really used more? One would think that it should be sorted by popularity/usage and maybe per the region you are in.

I suppose the Azerbaijan Mata (₼) is not 😉

The same applies for the Korean Won (₩) and Cuban Peso (₱) 😂

And what about the Peseta (₧), spanish currency out of circulation after introduction of the Euro? 🤣

Symbols are not even sorted by their Alt code or Unicode value so...who knows?

Proud to use LW/CVI from 3.1 on.

Maybe we need a generic symbol for "local currency", for example something like a Ł, but with two slashes. 😄

But then you'd have to specify which local currency you mean, because they don't have a 1:1 trading ratio and you'd end up with location specifiers for your  Ł, like  Łᵘˢ or Łᵉᵘ.

Good catch. It also so happens to be the money system in EvE (strangly enough an Icelandic developer). Interstellar Space Kredit or something. 😉

In EVE online it is. But you know that of course. No coincidence at all with the Icelandic krona... 😉

There is the currency sign ¤, which denotes an unspecified currency.
