If you go to Acclaim (www.youracclaim.com), go to the badge page, and right click >> save image as... it should have a decent resolution.

How did you get NI to issue a CLD badge? I've called twice and they claim certifications aren't part of the badge program, I.e., I can't get my certification into Acclaim.

I don't believe 'em. 🙂

Contact certification @ni.com.  give them the serial number off of your CLD certificate and your Accliam user information.

This assumes that you have taken and passed the CLD exam within the last 3 years.   Do you have an active (not suspended, not expired) CLD?

Yes, I do. I've been certifiable for 10 years. 😄

Thank you for the information (and confirmation). I suspected as much.

I've called NI on this a couple times. 1st line of defense = 'no clue'. 2nd line is 'Certifications are not part of badge program'.
I'll keep trying. Their support has gotten really... 'something' ... over the years, I tellzyea.

Thanks again!

That's why you email the certification team directly rather than ask a sales and support specialist about that.  Same with training.

NI support teams are actually very good a support compared to other companies.   They just don't focus on certification or training.   The staffs at certification@ni.com and training@ni.com aren't handling a large enough volume to the point that they can dedicate phone support and almost no CARs are generated against those products. 1 business day is the longest I ever waited for follow up and usually, my requests were completely addressed by the first contact.  The longest running issue I ever had involved an inquiry about obtaining a polo having worn one out,   they forgot to add where i should send the check.  The resopnse to that folliw up question was "we aren't sure so, are you still a size medium? And is this the ship to address?

Longest running chain i have ever heard about with those teams.  I  sliil wear that polo despite ordering new ones with the badges from Vista Print on my own dime.20181208_130123.jpg

Compared to other companies, perhaps. Compared to NI in previous years, not so much. I've been involved with NI since 2000 and it's a noticeable difference. IMO they are not the company they used to be.

And I think it was CE they eventually relayed me to, but I can't be sure.

And here's another official response from NI....

"My name Manfred, I'm with the Training & Certifications team.

Badges and Certifications are not related, you do get a certificate once you pass a test, but not a badge.

Acclaim does display Badges Earned by "Certification" and those that NI issues for skill proficiency as tested under "Training"

Community Badges are also issued by NI But only show up on your Community Profile and do not issue through Acclaim

It must seem rather muddy to the unbadged NI employees as each of thes three paths to badges:

  • Certification
  • Training
  • Community engagement

Are each refered to as "The Badging Program"

Thanks for spearheading the problem discovery!  Your efforts will be appreciated by many of the "Badged"
