This document informs you how to detect the firing rate of a spike signal using the Biosignal Rate Extractor Express VI.
Following is an example which uses the Read Biosignal Express VI and Biosignal Rate Extractor express VI to read a spike signal and detect its firing rate. The Biosignal Rate Extractor Express VI uses two thresholds to detect spikes and then counts the number of spikes and computes the mean spike interval. You can find the Biosignal Rate Extractor Express VI on the block diagram by navigating to Biomedical >> Biomedical Measurements>> Biosignal Preprocessing.
