Title: Development of cRIO-based Control for Beam Emission Spectroscopy Plasma Diagnostic System for Tokamaks

Abstract: evopro has developed a control system for a Beam Emission Spectroscopy (BES) plasma diagnostic system in cooperation with the Wigner Research Center for Physics. BES is used to measure plasma density and temperature in experimental fusion devices like tokamaks. The control system is based on CompactRIO and LabVIEW RT. Analog and digital I/O modules measure physical parameters and control vacuum pumps, power supplies, pneumatic elements. The host application provides the user interface while communicating with the real-time controller. The control system is integrated into the KSTAR EPICS-based control system using EPICS CA Server and Client I/O Servers in LabVIEW.
