XNET CAN Channel Order

How does XNET determine the order CAN devices are numbered?  For a PXI system, it does not seem to be the following:

• slot number
• serial number

In addition, the channels are not listed in ascending order for the XNET session controls.

How do your CAN Devices appear in MAX?  What CAN devices are you connecting to?

If you create a constant on the block diagram of the channels do they give you the same order, random, or in ascending order?

The MAX configuration is sorted by CAN channel where the XNET constant (same as control) channel order is not as seen below:

 

I would prefer not to post the device serial numbers in a public forum.  Please let me know if I should continue this with a support request.

Thank you for that information.  A Corrective Action Request, #415101, has been filed regarding this behavior.  The best way to learn about the progress of the CAR is by contacting support after some time to get any updates.
