Why doesn't my National Instruments DeviceNet Interface work on my Windows 2000 machine?

I have installed a National Instruments DNet interface card in my computer which is running Windows 2000. I have also installed the current NI-DNET drivers. However, my card fails to function. Why?

The most current version of NI-DNET (1.1) supports Windows 9x and NT. The NI-DNET driver with support for Windows 2000 is currently in the development stages and will be released in the very near future. For more information, please contact a National Instruments applications engineer at www.ni.com/ask.
