Hello,
I would like to Simulate a CAN environment without actual CAN node.
I would like to connect a PCAN USB which is connected to PC to other PCAN USB which is connected to Other PC i.e. I would like to establish a communication between two PCs using two PCAN Usb connecting each other.
Is it possible to connect two PCAN USB interface and simulate a CAN system?
I request to help regarding this.

Hey,
i guess it is possible. But i think it is kind of complicated.. why not just using Ethernet ?
However, if you wanna do this i think you have to implement the drivers of the PCAN USB device.

Hi Markus,
Thanks for the replay.
I connected the PCAN USB interfaces and simulated a CAN environment.
I used PCAN USB because this is device we use to monitor CAN node in real set up.
Now simulated environment is working fine in which PC is acting like a real CAN node.

Hi ,
NI measurement & explorer supports only NI CAN devices.
PCAN is not supported by NI.
Hence it is not possible to check this device through NI measurement and explorer.

HI,
PCAN is not an NI supported Hardware. So i think its is not possible to configure it through Labview.
I didnt used Labview for my set up.I used PCAN view. This application software is supplied by PCAN user interface vendor(Peak systems).Through this you can configure the PCAN hardware, send and receive messages.
