Clarification on PCI CAN

Hello,

I am having NI CAN PCI-CAN/2 card. Also i am having NI CAN 1.5 and MAX 2.2.Since my application is running in Lab view 5.1, i am using this version. After installing the drivers I mentioned above, I couldn’t able to see CAN device in MAX. Also is it possible to do auto detecting CAN devices in Lab view programmatically (like detecting other PCI DAQ cards)?

Hi

Version 1.5 didn't have MAX support back then. You need to run the configuration tool from your START menu to assign port names.

There is no autodetection within labview. Just use the portnames for the configuration function to create a handle.
