9862 Power supply?

I have 6 9862 modules and just noticed that the manual says they are externally powered.  Oops!

The manual says the module needs a UL listed ITE power supply marked LPS.  What is so special about those power supplies and how/where can I get one?

Normally we just wire to pin 2 and 7, so I am guessing I would just need to wire the power into the DB9 on the 9862 module?

Hi Bryan,

These power supplies adhere to certain standards to help keep your power supply from frying the devices on the CAN network.

So which power supply does NI sell that meets these requirements?

I think most (if not all) of the power supplies we sell are UL listed ITE power supplies.  If you already have a power supply, look closely at the sticker on it.  There is probably a "UL" inside a circle somewhere.

Jeff-

I have a similar situation, but I looked NEC class 2 and it says that the maximum power potential of a "Limited Power Source" (LPS) must be limited to 100VA.  How does the PS-15 meet this specification?

Thanks
