I had my program working with a PCMCIA-CAN/DS Series 2, 2 Port, Dual-Speed CAN PCMCIA-Interface. Everything seemed fine for past few days. This morning I came in to work and was getting this error. I tried resetting the card (Shift + CTRL and right-clicking on the card) and also tried re-installing NI-CAN 2.7.4. The card passes the self test.

Also, I am using an expresscard adapter with my laptop running Windows 7. I doubt this is the issue if I am passing the self test.

Any ideas? Is the CAN card broke?

I attached the full nicanErr.txt file but here is the first few lines:

Hi Rayme,

As I recall the expresscard adapter may have been the issue here.  Could you confirm?

Thanks,
