It can be challenging for Alliance Partners developers to stay current with the latest NI product releases and be aware of the technology trends in the test and measurement industry. To simplify this task we provide various resources as part of the Alliance Partner program that pull together relevant product information for partner engineers to access when they want to get informed.
Product Information and Overviews
In addition to formal product announcements that are included in the Partner newsletter, the Partner program publishes training content with overviews and introductions to new and existing products. This content is part of Technical Training hosted on the Partner Portal.
The Technical Training page is organized into several different tabs that contain training material for different purposes:
The Product Training tab links to content designed to teach developers how to use a particular product or improve their proficiency in using the product.
The Product Information tab links to content designed to provide general information about a product including an overview and description of its features.
The Application Training tab is currently under development and will provide information about specific application domains and developing applications to meet customer needs in these domains.
The links under the Product Information tab connect to content in the Resource Library that helps developers become familiar with a product or product line, including relevant applications, benefits and product capabilities. If your goal is to learn about a new product that you’ve heard about or you want to consider using a product you are not familiar with in a new project, go to the Product Information tab.
The most up-to-date information about product releases and related new product information is provided in the monthly newsletter in the Recent NI Product Announcements section. Make sure to subscribe to the newsletter by signing-up for the Partner Portal. In addition, a collection of past product announcement is provided on the Partner Portal for reference in current and upcoming projects.
The product announcements are hosted in the Resource Library, which allows you to search for specific product announcement (or other content) using keywords. In the Resource Library add ‘IPA’ as well as your keywords to the search field (IPA = Internal Product Announcement). As an example, for a list of product announcements that include PXI, use ‘IPA and PXI’ for your search term. (Note: You must be logged in to the Partner Portal to access the Resource Library.)
Another resource for new product information as well as product training is the monthly Partner webinar. Topics for upcoming webinars, as well as the link to the registration page, are included in the Partner newsletter. We publish a list of past webinars with recordings available for on-demand viewing in the Partner blog.
