labview actor framework vi icon glyphs locations

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi

I'm trying to find the location of the glyphs that are automatically added to vi icon when creating accessors for an Actor. I'd like to make this pencil form Write Accessor and the glasses from Read Accessor a bit more white so they don't overlay the text.

Right now I'm changing the visibility of those glyphs by 50% each time I make an accessor which is bit repetitive

Try looking at the Actor Framework Project Provider to see where they are located.  All the vis are unlocked.  I'm willing to bet you will find it somewhere in there.

Allen or AQ can probably provide information, but it seems that you can't find a png because there isn't one.  They appear to use a block diagram constant.  I'm sure you could copy it and write it to png file and then reuse it wherever you want.  See screenshot.

Hey

Thanks, I was able to change the icon for the Message Send! I wasn't yet able to find Data Member Access vi's. They are not in the message maker. Are they in the same folder? I couldn't find it.

Yeah! Thank you.

It was in \resource\Framework\Providers\LVClassLibrary\NewAccessors\MemberVICreation.lvlib

And the vi name was CLSUIP_GetOverlayImageData.vi
