triggering with myDaq

Hey everyone,

I have a fairly simple process to devellop, or so it seems. I need to acquire an analog signal compose of a baseline and non periodic peak event. and I need to be able to detect and count those peaks and also generate a TTL gate for each to trigger another device. it's a relativly slow signal so 100ks/s is enough

two additional constraint : Labview is neither my strong suit nor used in my lab, we would like to use python.

do you think I can use the myDaq hardware for this application?

also, I'm using a laptop, I need an usb connection.

Many thanks in advance
