Hi:
Currently I have an NI ELVIS station which is not outputting voltage from its positive variable power supply. I have tried controlling it with the computer and manual control and have had no luck. I have checked the fuse, it reads fine, have tried using multiple prototyping boards and each has the same output. The negative variable supply seems fine. I looked inside the case but could find nothing obviously defective and was unable to locate the section of the mother board devoted to producing the variable voltage. Has anyone had this problem and know the solution, or if not where could I get the wiring schematics for the boards so that I can check the power supply to see if it is working.
Thanks

Hi Jimmybooya,
I would check the Positive Variable Power supply Fuse again. This is located on the NI Elvis Protection Board, they should be labeled VAR PWR SUPPLY + and VAR PWR SUPPLY -.
Sorry, the schematics are not available for repairing the device.
If you switch to Manual control of the Variable Power Supplies, does that change the situation?
For the programattic control, try the Variable Power Supply Express VI, see if the output updates in that case.
Does the prototyping board work correctly in another NI Elvis unit?
Finally, the manual and fuse information be found online here for the NI Elvis.
Please do post back here if those steps don't recitfy the problem.
Thanks and have a great afternoon,
