How do you use a webcam with the myrio? I tried using a Logitech c525 camera and it does not register for me.

Hey cwatts26,
You'll need to install the NI Vision drivers on the myRIO before it will recognize a USB webcam. You can install the drivers using MAX.

Correct me if i'm wrong
NI Vision Acquisition Software—Allows you to acquire images from USB cameras that you connect to the NI myRIO.
So i have to purchase the acquistion software? to access webcam's.
i'm pretty sure the myrio does not come with it. I already have the student version of devlopment module.

The myRIO Software Suite includes everything you need to get a USB webcam working with myRIO, so you don't have to purchase anything extra. However the vision driver does not install on myRIO by default (you'll have to manually add it to the myRIO in MAX).
Let me know if that makes sense.
Thanks!

I understand the Driver thing, maybe I'm downloading the wrong Driver, or do I need to download a Driver to the myrio itself?
I did install ni_imaq_USB. Driver to my computer, though it can be seen on image 2 of the file.
Also I view the license file and found the acquisition software, so it's only good until the 20th.

Hey cwatts26,
You need to make sure the driver is installed on the myRIO itself, not just on your computer. Find your myRIO in MAX and expand the software section. Are NI Vision RT and NI-IMAQdx listed?
Thanks!

When the driver are properly installed on the myRIO and you connect a supported webcam you should see it in MAX under the Devices and Interfaces section of your myRIO.

Once you get that to work you can use the Vision Aquisition Express VI in LabVIEW to aquire an image from the USB Web Cam.
